November 25th has been established worldwide as the day for the elimination of violence against women. This year in Greece, the 13 murders of women we have mourned and the rise of the “Me too” movement have made the debate over harassment and abuse more open than ever, and we can only be happy about this development.
I believe that all the stories that have been shared so far, have made us as women think in detail if we have ever been in an abusive relationship without realizing it and we can now more easily discern toxic behaviors that we would previously interpret as sexy masculinity and love devotion.
In honor of the day, the Greek chocolate “Lacta” created a film entitled “Never leave me” directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos and starring Christina Cheila Famelis and Hector Liatsos. “True love is your right and we are by your side to defend it”, is the slogan and the message of the film.
